The Gran Loggia Scozzese Reale d’Italia (G.L.S.R.I. – Royal Scottish Grand Lodge of Italy), based in Rome, Italy, is part of Grand Orient Freemasonry and as such is a concordant authority for the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite within Italy.
There are significant historical and present connections between a number of the constituent institutions of the Abbey-Principality of San Luigi and Freemasonry, notably the Apostolic Episcopal Church, the Order of the Holy Wisdom (which includes a number of Masonic authorities). and the Catholicate of the West. The present Prince-Abbot of San Luigi is a member of the G.L.S.R.I.
