The Missions of the Apostolic Episcopal Church constitute its tangible engagement with the work of the Lord, offering opportunities for worship, instruction and fellowship. As a geographically widespread church, small in numbers, the challenges of mission are significant, and the promulgation of a List of Missions is as much an aid to members of our church in keeping in contact with their co-religionists as a guide to those who are new to us. It should not be thought, however, that our scattered nature compromises our witness to Christ. Unity in faith and vision is a strength of our communion, and our aspiration is to build on that strength in the years to come.
The work of the Apostolic Episcopal Church in the United States has historically been divided into four Provinces: East, West, Central and South, of which the East is the parent Province, reflecting the legislative Charter held by the Church in the State of New York. All Provinces are currently under the aegis of the Primate.

MISSION OF ST BENEDICT
West Midlands and the South of England as required
Our ministry in Great Britain is conceived as an adjunct to Traditional Anglicanism wherever it may be encountered, and while there is provision for the support of missions where there is need, the creation of an autonomous network of parishes has never been the primary aim. The last place of public worship of the Apostolic Episcopal Church in Great Britain, the Vilatte Chapel in Norfolk, closed in 2018.
While occasional services have taken place in churches and other places of worship owned by other bodies, sometimes in collaboration with other denominations or in a wider ecumenical context, there is no regular provision for public worship at the present time. Nevertheless, private worship and confession continue to be offered, alongside baptisms, wedding services, funerals and services for particular occasions.
Ministry is also undertaken through Christian social action in the local community and beyond. This consists of general support to those in need as well as areas of specialist focus for our ministers, including the teaching of spirituality and the mentoring of other ministers, and the provision of spiritual guidance and counseling.
The work is directed towards the unchurched and towards Traditional Anglicans who are not otherwise served by a parish. Several retired priests in the south of England work in free association with our ministry and serve when required.
