Royal House
Since 2015, the Prince-Abbot of San Luigi has also been Head of the Royal House Polanie-Patrikios, which traces its dynastic heritage to the Byzantine Roman Emperor Leo V Patrikios the Armenian (reigned 813-20) and the first rulers of Poland, the Princes of Gniezno and Dukes of the Polans (Polanie). In addition, the Head of the Royal House Polanie-Patrikios, in his offices of Prince of Miensk and Ecclesiast of the Byelorussian Patriarchate of St Andrew the First-Called Apostle, is responsible for the Byelorussian monarchist movement in exile. The Royal House Polanie-Patrikios also maintains several House Orders.
The International College of Arms of the Noblesse
The International College of Arms of the Noblesse was founded in 1925 and was integrated as a constituent part of the Catholicate of the West in 1950. It has responsibility for heraldic matters within the Abbey-Principality of San Luigi, Royal Belarus, and in a wider international context. In all cases its activities are strictly confined to those which are not the prerogative of national heraldic authorities.
