Bishop David Caparelli, who was Representative Bishop in Brazil for the Apostolic Episcopal Church, has died at the age of 86. Bishop Caparelli was responsible for the Ordo Templum Domini and undertook much work to keep the Templar tradition alive, publishing a number of books on its history.
He was last in correspondence with the Prince-Abbot in October, when he wrote “I am republishing some of my books, to learn about medieval history. We are here in Brazil in clear progress, in ancient history.” This was allied to his search for further educational outreach for the Academia Municipalista de Letras do Brasil which he directed, and which was already in a relationship of recognition with the Universities under the aegis of the Abbey-Principality.
He was consecrated bishop in the lineage of the late Archbishop Count George Boyer of the Apostolic Episcopal Church and worked with several of the churches descending from Archbishop Boyer that represent the esoteric and Templar traditions.
Our condolences go to his family.
Memory Eternal! Memory Eternal! Memory Eternal!
