Douglas Lewins is Primate and Archbishop of the Old Roman Catholic Church of Great Britain. He was ordained priest in that church in 1986 and episcopally consecrated in 1991, becoming Primate in 1993 in succession to the late Archbishop Dennis St Pierre. Between 1998 and 2006 he was in union with the Holy See and exercised ministry in a parish in East London. In the latter year, he resumed the headship of the ORCCGB.
In secular life he has worked within the Civil Service and within the Metropolitan Police Authority, where he has responsibilities relating to equality and diversity.
He is Grand Prior and Knight Grand Commander, The Equestrian, Secular and Chapterial Order of Saint Joachim as well as Knight Grand Cross, Imperial Order of St Mary of Zion and Commander of the College of Chaplains, Union Corps St. Lazarus (Great Britain and Ireland).
