Order of Antioch UK clergy conference

The clergy of the Order of Antioch in the UK met for a one-day conference on Thursday 25 September in North London. The conference was ably organized by Vicar-General Mgr. James Phillips. Clergy celebrated a Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit at which the Prince-Abbot gave the homily, in addition to the Midday Office and Vespers. After an enjoyable lunch, the afternoon was set aside for discussions.

The conference provided an opportunity to welcome the Rt. Revd. Dom Thomas Hugh Bodkin OA, OSB(csr) to membership in the First Class of the Order. Dom Thomas has since August 2008 served as Abbot Nullius of Lindsey in the Benedictine Congregation of St Romuald, which was originally chartered by the Old Catholic Church of Great Britain. The OCCGB has been a part of our jurisdiction since 2012 and this therefore marks the reunion of these two Old Catholic bodies with a common origin.
